This 21" x 24" signed and numbered print by Oklahoma artist Mikel Donahue features Ranch Horse, the artwork showcased on the cover of the October 2016 issue of Western Horseman.
Commissioned by the magazine to accompany a feature on ranch horse bloodlines, the painting was created to capture the essence of the ideal ranch horse. Rather than portraying a specific animal, Donahue’s striking work reflects his personal interpretation of the ranch horse — strong, dependable and deeply connected to the traditions of the American West.
